Police officer Rexhep Sejdiu died today at his workplace while serving at the border crossing point.
The Deputy Director of Police in the North, Veton Elshani, stated that Officer Sejdiu was on duty at the border crossing point in Jarinë and passed away during the night shift.
"At around 07:20, the police officer was found dead during the shift in Jarinë. His colleagues found him dead a few hours after he had laid down to rest," said Elshani.
He mentioned that the initial suspicions are for natural death.
The deceased officer was already part of the Special Units of the Border Police.
The lifeless body has been sent for autopsy to the Institute of Forensic Medicine, and after the procedures, it will be handed over to the family for burial.
