The highly sought-after Lulzim Berisha was arrested this Thursday (December 14) in Spain. The news was made public by the State Police through an official press release, local media say.
The police report states that as a result of the collaboration between FAST Albania and their Spanish counterparts, the localization and arrest of Lulzim Berisha, a person with high social risk, were made possible.
Law enforcement agencies are in the process of completing the documentation for the extradition of Lulzim Berisha to Albania.
"The police operation codenamed 'Sant Joan' is being finalized.
As a result of the collaboration between FAST Albania and FAST Spain, thanks to information secured through police intelligence by the State Police and their timely exchanges with the structures of the Spanish Police, the capture of the individual with high social risk, Lulzim Berisha, was made possible.
Cooperation with Spanish authorities continues to complete the documentation for the extradition of this individual to Albania," says the State Police announcement.
