The Bank of Albania
has announced the withdrawal from circulation of several old banknotes. In a statement on its official website, the Bank of Albania informs that the deadline for exchanging these banknotes at face value is until December 31, 2023, at any second-tier bank branch.
"The Bank of Albania informs the public that, based on the decision of the Supervisory Council of the Bank of Albania No.17, dated February 13, 2013, 'On extending the deadline for the exchange of certain demonetized banknotes,' December 31, 2023, is the final deadline for the exchange of demonetized banknotes as listed below:

The above banknotes can continue to be exchanged until December 31, 2023, at any counter of the second tier banks.
