After the digitization of many services, work has begun in the capital on the installation of photovoltaic plants in schools.

The Mayor of the Municipality, Erion Veliaj, expresses that so far, there are 5 schools in Tirana that produce energy through solar panels.

"From today, 5 schools in Tirana generate electrical energy through photovoltaic panels, bringing a reduction of 27,000 kilograms of CO2 in the environment and financial savings.

Thanks to the "Sunny School," we increase the energy independence of schools by empowering efforts against climate change.

Thank you, Soros Foundation Albania - OSFA," writes Veliaj.

It should be noted that in recent years efforts have been intensified to generate renewable energy in Albania, such as photovoltaic panels or hydropower plants.
