The Special Prosecutor's Office in Albania issued 15 arrest warrants for corruption related to the Tirana Incinerator

 SPAK issues 15 arrest warrants for the Tirana incinerator. The news is confirmed by almost all media outlets in Albania.

Following the 15 arrest warrants issued by SPAK (Special Anti-Corruption Prosecution) a day ago regarding the Tirana incinerator affair, Taulant Tushe, Namik Simixhiu, Bledar Karoli, Jetmir Llapaj have been detained.

Meanwhile, Erjon Murataj, who is reported to be abroad, has been declared wanted. House arrest measures have also been executed for Alba Thoma, Valbona Ballgjini, Sidita Kopliku, Pëllumb Abeshi, Etleva Kondi, Sidita Tola.

The news is confirmed by the Albanian journalist Klodiana Lala.

Accusations against former Minister of Environment Lefter Koka and former Secretary General of the Ministry of Environment Alqi Bllako have been reiterated, who were convicted of corruption in the Fier incinerator case, and prison measures have been communicated to them.

Yesterday, GJKKO (Special Court) issued prison arrest measures for Lefter Koka, Alqi Bllako, Mirel Mërtiri, Klodian Zoto, Erjon Murataj, Bledar Karoli, Namik Simixhiu, Jetmir Llapaj.

While house arrest measures have been imposed for Alba Thoma, Valbona Ballgjini, Sidita Kopliku, Pëllumb Abeshi, Etleva Kondi, Sidita Tola.

We recall that on August 1st, the Special Court, upon SPAK's request, signed the seizure of the Tirana incinerator. Investigations have started within the criminal procedure for the criminal offenses of "Serious Fraud," "Abuse of Duty," "Passive Corruption of High State Officials or Locally Elected Officials," and "Money Laundering of Criminal Proceeds or Criminal Activity."
