The British police have apprehended a 30-year-old Albanian man who had been wanted since 2019 for the murder of 24-year-old Moroccan Soufin Mhara, whom he allegedly stabbed outside a bar in Spain.

Following the arrest, his extradition to Spain is expected. However, the Spanish police statement emphasizes that the Albanian suspect is also involved in a drug trafficking organization in England.

The identification of the suspect was crucial, and it was achieved through procedures conducted as part of investigations led by the judge in O Porriño. Testimonies from witnesses played a vital role, and they also contributed with videos and photos from the day of the incident.

According to Spanish media reports a partially obscured profile picture of the perpetrator, who fled the crime scene after committing the murder, was published in late 2020. The photograph had been circulated widely, aiding in the identification and capture of the suspect.
