In a significant operation, Greek police have arrested an Albanian individual in the Koropi area after discovering a substantial amount of cocaine and weapons in an apartment.
The arrest took place as law enforcement authorities uncovered more than 45 kilograms of cocaine concealed in a specially designed space within the warehouse where the operation was carried out. The cocaine was divided into 36 standardized packages, each marked with distinct logos for identification purposes.
Simultaneously, the authorities discovered a Kalashnikov rifle, a handgun with two magazines, and 149 bullets of various calibers.
The arrested individual, identified as a 45-year-old Albanian man named Leka Vaska is known to the police and is linked to a network involved in cocaine trafficking in the Athens region.
The operation unfolded in Kifisia, resulting in the arrest of the 45-year-old, who was found in possession of an additional 17.5 grams of cocaine at the time of apprehension.
