Bledar and Italian officers in the place where he has been stabbed to death |
Italian media has revealed the autopsy report of 39-year-old Albanian, Bledar Dedja, who was found brutally murdered with stab wounds on Sunday morning, January 21, in a forest in Paderno del Grappa.
According to the autopsy, the 39-year-old died from internal bleeding caused by a knife wound inflicted from behind that pierced his diaphragm.
At least 19 stab wounds were inflicted on the Albanian's body, targeting the chest and abdominal area, indicating a deep-seated hatred from the assailant.
Dedja was discovered about a hundred meters away from his car, a Mercedes B Class, lying lifeless, partially undressed with pants and underwear removed.
Investigators, in addition to the autopsy, collected samples for toxicological tests to determine whether the victim had engaged in sexual activity before the fatal attack.
Suspicions of investigators, fueled by the circumstances in which the body was found, suggest that Bledar might have been attacked with a knife at the end of an intimate encounter.
The location where the body was discovered on Sunday morning, particularly Via Dei Colli, is known as an isolated area, away from prying eyes and frequented by couples seeking some privacy. Investigators, who have been interviewing his wife and acquaintances, are now focusing on the victim's phone – to analyze the last calls and messages Bledar had before the incident.
Dedja's wallet and personal items were found at the crime scene, ruling out the motive of robbery.
Investigators are also examining the Albanian's car to secure any evidence that could lead to solving the case.
According to the autopsy, Dedja was attacked while lying down, with multiple superficial wounds on his forearms, suggesting an attempt to defend himself.
The father of two worked as a gardener and cleaner in the Old Town of Abazia. His body was discovered in a pool of blood by a friend with whom he was supposed to go fishing on Sunday morning. Concerned that her husband did not return home on Saturday night, his wife alerted the police at 8 in the morning the next day. According to autopsy findings, the murder occurred during the afternoon on Saturday, though pinpointing the exact time is challenging due to the exposure of the body to the cold throughout the night.
