After the confirmation of 11 measles cases in the country, the Minister of Health and Social Protection, Albana Koçiu, has issued a call for vaccination. She emphasizes the importance of timely vaccination.

"To protect your children from mumps, rubella, and measles, you must vaccinate them on time, according to the national vaccination calendar. Follow the advice and guidelines of pediatricians to ensure better protection for your children," Koçiu states, while also sharing a video message from pediatrician Dr. Melida Agastra.

Dr. Agastra addresses parents, urging them not to hesitate to vaccinate their children, as this will have consequences for them.

"During our daily practice at the child's clinic, as pediatricians, and also our healthcare staff, including our nurses, in our daily work, it is our duty to convince and conscientize parents to bring their children to our clinic for the vaccinations specified by the national vaccination calendar, especially the vaccine that protects against mumps, rubella, and measles. This is a very important vaccine that provides lifelong protection for children. Dear parents, you must vaccinate your children for protection against mumps, rubella, and measles, as well as other vaccines that are administered regularly. This is one of the vaccines that parents hesitate to get on time or delay due to misinformation, seeking to postpone the timing of this vaccine," expresses Dr. Agastra.
