Tragic Incident Shakes Albanian Community in the USA

A devastating event has deeply affected the Albanian community in the United States last week when police officer Watson Morgan killed his wife Ornela, sons Gabriel, and Liam before taking his own life.

The community is preparing to bid a final farewell to the three members of the Morgan family whose lives were tragically cut short by the hands of someone who was supposed to protect them the next day.

Relatives have announced that condolences will be received on January 11, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Church of St. Francis of Assisi | 128 Parrott Road | West Nyack, NY, and on January 12, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Albanian Church of St. Mary | 535 Salisbury Street | Worcester, MA.

Their burial service will be held after Friday prayers, and the interment will take place at Hope Cemetery in Worcester, MA.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions in memory of Ornela, Gabriel, and Liam to be directed to "Meals on Wheels Rockland County," the 9/11 Foundation, or the Albanian Church of St. Mary in Worcester, MA.

Responding to this tragic event that has touched the Albanian community in the USA, Mark Gjonaj, Chairman of the Coordinating Council of the Diaspora, has also taken to social media to appeal for the prevention of such serious incidents.

"We must ask ourselves, if someone had seen or heard something and reported it, would they still be with us today?
