The 19th edition of the International Oriental Film Festival of Geneva is set to take place from June 10th to 16th, 2024, at Cadeau Cinéma and Grütli. This new vintage of the festival is dedicated to Knowledge and recognition of the Other. At this year's festival, a selection of films by Albanian authors will be presented.

Tahar Houchi, the director of the International Film Festival, expressed his enthusiasm for the inclusion of Albanian films: "Films by Albanian authors are always welcome!"
Undoubtedly, it is very inspiring for all Albanians to learn that at the "International Oriental Film Festival of Geneva," one of the most influential festivals in Switzerland, Albanian films will be showcased alongside many others.
"More than 50 films, including those by Albanian authors, from Eastern and Western countries as well as pre-and post-Eastern European countries, will be featured for the great pleasure of the festival's attendees. They will be accompanied by guests who will engage in discussions. Like other films, films by Albanian authors are always welcome!" stated Tahar Houchi, the director general & artistic director of the FIFOG Festival in Geneva, in an interview with the Swiss/Albanian newspaper Le Canton27.ch.
Indeed, in a time of geopolitical upheaval and unprecedented resurgence of violence in the East, it is more than necessary to give voice to artists to describe realities and propose solutions. In this way, FIFOG aims to promote innovative cinema, reduce misunderstandings, and promote living together.
