According to Greek media, the operation was carried out in several areas of the island, resulting in the arrest of four Albanians: Sulo Tahaj, 26 years old, and his brother Genci Tahaj, 30 years old, from Fier; Fatmir Caushaj, 36 years old, from Tirana; Renson Marra, 24 years old, from Kuçova; and Ukrainian citizen Anastasiya Ivanichenko, 30 years old.
They have been charged with forming and participating in a criminal organization, violating legislation on controlled substances, and violating legislation on firearms and violence against police officers.
According to the Hellenic Police (ELAS), the criminal network was hierarchically structured with a professional infrastructure and had devised a detailed action plan, ensuring the uninterrupted functioning of all phases of activity (supply, storage, processing, counterfeiting, standardization, and trafficking) to maximize potential profit.
Meanwhile, the group was organized, with 26-year-old Sulo Tahaj serving as the leader of the organization. He was responsible for directing other members to transport drugs from Athens to Santorini, standardizing and storing the quantities in hidden locations on the island for distribution to nightclubs or other traffickers.
Meanwhile, 30-year-old Genci Tahaj served as the spokesperson, actively participating in managing and organizing the group, focusing on managing its revenues and expected profits.
