She was skiing in the area known as "Eagle's Nest" zone, which is notorious for its avalanche risks, despite receiving immediate CPR from Murray and later medical assistance, Sky News reports.

Rigby, 54, known as Kasha, passed away on Tuesday at the mountain resort of Brezovica in Kosovo, Magnis Wofe Murray said in a statement on Facebook.

"We were to be married in September. Now shattered," Murray said on Saturday.

The official account of the resort posted on Instagram a photo of rescuers on a snow-covered hillside near a blanket and pulling a stretcher, saying the ski center's rescue team "retrieved the victim from a very dangerous part of the hillside when she tragically lost her life."

Rigby was skiing off-piste when an avalanche struck, police said.
