Serbian Dinars |
After Kosovo's decision to stop the use of the dinar and eliminate Serbian parallel structures in the northern part of the country, there has been a reaction from the Prime Minister Edi Rama. Given the increased pressure on Pristina, the head of the government has come to Kosovo's defense, stating that it has the right to implement its constitution, especially after the events in Banjska.
While we all agree that Kosova's government should engage, coordinate, and work more closely with its key allies, let's also not lose sight of Kosova's undeniable right to enforce its constitution. After Banjska, it's crucial to maintain focus and a sense of balance.

He writes that Albin Kurti will need to engage, coordinate, and work more closely with its key allies. However, he emphasizes that after what happened in Banjska, it is crucial to maintain balance.
"While we all agree that the government of Kosovo should engage, coordinate, and work more closely with its key allies, let us not forget Kosovo's undeniable right to implement its constitution. After Banjska, it is essential to maintain focus and a sense of balance," writes Rama.
This reaction came after the Central Bank of Kosovo ordered that, from February 1st, the euro should be used as the means of payment throughout the country, meaning that Serbs in northern Kosovo can no longer use the dinar for payments, pensions, etc.
