Lindon Selahi delivered a victory for Rijeka today. The Albanian midfielder shook the net with a spectacular goal in the 75th minute of the match, celebrating with the symbol of all Albanians, the eagle. Selahi's right-footed shot brought the score to 1-2 against Hajduk Split, securing the win for Rijeka.

With this triumph, Rijeka has now taken the lead in Croatian football's top tier. Hajduk Split was holding the top spot, but after this victory, Rijeka has claimed the throne, tallying 41 points, equal to Hajduk.
About Lindon
Selahi, born in Namur, Belgium, into an Albanian family from North Macedonia, initiated his football journey at the tender age of 4 by engaging with local clubs.
His football career commenced within the realm of local clubs, beginning with UR Namur, a second-division team during that period. Despite being one of the youngest players, he consistently participated alongside older boys and eventually assumed the role of team captain. His talents did not go unnoticed, catching the attention of the staff at Standard Liège, leading to his inclusion in the club in 2011. After a stint with RSC Anderlecht, Selahi returned to Standard Liège in 2016.
Throughout his youth career with Standard Liège and Anderlecht, Selahi had the opportunity to play alongside numerous talented players from the noteworthy 1999-born generation. Many of these players have since pursued professional football careers both within and outside Belgium.
