NATO's tactical air base in Kuçovë to be inaugurated on March 4

 Defense Minister Niko Peleshi has published a video on social media from the NATO airport in Kuçovë, which is expected to be inaugurated on March 4.

In the minister's post, among other things, it is written that this base will serve as a center for activities of our Air Force, offering advanced infrastructure for both combat and transport aircraft of the Alliance.


"Just a few days away from the inauguration of the NATO Tactical Air Base in Kuçovë, which will play a key role in supporting NATO operations and exercises. This base will serve as a center for activities of our Air Force, offering advanced infrastructure for combat and transport aircraft of the Alliance. This step marks a new phase in strengthening our capabilities for international cooperation and regional security," Peleshi writes.

The Kuçovë Air Base was part of the bilateral discussions between Prime Minister Rama and Secretary Anthony Blinken during the high-ranking American official's visit to Tirana.

The US Secretary of State revealed that this base will have the assistance of all NATO partner countries in equipping it with the latest technology.
