Rey Manaj, decisive with his goals for Sivasspor

Albania national team footballer Rey Manaj, who plays for the Turkish Super Lig club EMS Yapı Sivasspor, is shining with his successful performance in goal scoring.

The 27-year-old footballer, who signed with the "White-Reds" at the beginning of the season, takes on the responsibility of scoring goals for his team.

Rey Manaj has scored 18 out of the 43 goals scored by EMS Yapı Sivasspor in official matches this season.

He scored 18 goals in 26 official matches this season. 14 of them were scored in 23 Super Lig matches, while in 3 matches in the Turkish Cup he scored 4 goals.

The Albanian footballer has also scored against strong opponents such as Fenerbahçe, Beşiktaş, and Trabzonspor in the league.

With 14 goals scored, Manaj is tied for second place with Mauro Icardi of Galatasaray and Mame Thiam of Pendikspor, while at the top of the Super Lig's top scorers' table is Fenerbahçe striker, Edin Dzeko, with 18 goals.

Praise for Manaj from the Sivasspor coach

Sivasspor coach Bülent Uygun, in a statement to Anadolu, said that Manaj has performed very well since the day he joined the team.

"There are clubs following and seeking him from Europe, Spain, Italy, and especially from Saudi Arabia. We will see at the end of the season. He will continue to contribute to the team by increasing his performance, improving further, and hopefully scoring goals," said Uygun, thanking former Sivasspor coach Servet Çetin for enabling Manaj's transfer to the club.

According to him, Manaj is very happy at the club. "Albanians always have the desire to play and score goals. I hope he will be the best scorer at the end of the season," said the Turkish coach.
