Lutfiu stated that the budget reduction significantly hampers the functioning of KKSH. However, he emphasized that this act by Serbia will not discourage the council, which will work even harder to realize the rights of Albanians in the region.

He informed that international authorities have been notified of this decision by the Serbian government.

"The Ministry for Human and Minority Rights, instead of increasing the budget for the National Albanian Council for the year 2024, has reduced it by over 1 million dinars.

The budget for our institution should have been increased due to the population registration in 2022, which was not taken into account; on the contrary, the budget was reduced.

This makes the functioning of the National Albanian Council extremely difficult.

Regarding this, we have informed the international community.

Even this threat will not deter us from our work; on the contrary, we will work even harder for our rights, despite discrimination and scandalous decisions like this!" Lutfiu wrote on Facebook.
