After a grueling 12-hour search and rescue operation, amidst challenging weather and geographical conditions, the Police aided a group of mountaineers who had become stranded in mountainous terrain after one of them was unable to move due to a leg injury.

The search and rescue operation, conducted overnight and in the early hours of the morning, was carried out by the Alpine Police of the National Security Forces, in cooperation with the services of the Malësi e Madhe Police Commissariat and the Civil Emergencies, as well as a group of volunteers.
Around 4:50 PM on February 4, 2024, a report was received that a group of 5 Albanian mountaineers had become stranded during their exploration in a location known as "Maja e Çardakut," Bogë, after one of them had severely injured their leg.
Immediately upon receiving the report, the Police and supporting services organized a search and rescue operation, and after 12 hours of searching overnight and into the morning hours, the group of mountaineers was successfully located and rescued. The 26-year-old who had injured his leg was transported for medical assistance to the Shkodër Regional Hospital and is out of life-threatening danger.
