The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, stated that the recognition of Kosovo's independence by Ukraine will come alongside its victory in the fight against Russia.
Osmani, on the sidelines of the "Ukraine – South-East Europe" Summit, held in Tirana, Albania, told the media that Kosovo will continue to support Ukraine against Russian military aggression.
She was asked whether Kosovo will seek recognition from Ukraine.
"These are bilateral issues. We have always made such a request and will continue to do so. With full understanding that Ukraine is in an exceptional state, a state of war, fighting for its freedom and independence and democratic values. I am confident that moment will come alongside Ukraine's victory," she said.
Osmani announced that at the Summit, she will speak about the concrete steps Kosovo is taking to support Ukraine.
Asked about the possibility of a confrontation with Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić at this Summit, Osmani said that there will always be such confrontations, as, according to her, Vučić lives in the past.
"We will always have confrontations with them because they live in the past," Osmani emphasized.ay
