In an interview with "Radio Dukagjini," Valon Berisha shared insights into the early stages of his career, disclosing that he had the opportunity to join Aston Villa or Manchester City. The Albanian midfielder revealed that at the age of 14, he successfully underwent trials at both clubs, receiving lucrative offers from them. However, Berisha explained that he chose to reject the offers because, at the tender age of 14, he felt too young to be separated from his family.

"Chelsea was the first team I went to for trials when I was 14 years old. I also went to Aston Villa and Manchester City. The latter two gave me a very good offer for my age. They even offered me scholarships. But I felt too young to leave my family at that age and live on my own. I had a family that paid great attention to the educational aspect. These were the reasons I stayed in Norway. At 14, you are still a child," explained Valon Berisha.
