Albanian singer Elsa Lila found herself in an unexpected turn of events after being arrested in Italy as part of a criminal group involved in drug trafficking. During her time on the show "Ferma Vip," in Albania, she opened up about her experiences behind bars.

She shared that her task in prison was to tell the history of Italy to incarcerated women, among whom she noted a majority were illiterate. Despite this, she made sure to read books to them, local media reports.
Furthermore, Lila recounted how she would calculate the remaining time for the women in prison. She emphasized that she herself remained calm because she knew she would soon be released from her cell.
"One of the tasks I did there (in prison), the literacy level was very high, and I would tell them stories from ancient Rome, reading them books. Also, they would come and ask me to calculate when they would be released. I improvised because I didn't know. They would lose track completely; they'd lose 4 years there. They would say, 'I don't know when I will get out.' I logically told them to look, give me the documentation you have, but it was very difficult to calculate for them. I did addition and subtraction. One of them impressed me a lot; when I calculated for her, it was September 2022, and she was due to be released in September 2024, she was thrilled. She said, 'I'm so happy.' I was terrified inside. I knew for myself that I would get out; I was calm," Elsa said.
Albano Bogdo asked her if there were instances of violence.
"Yes, there were. As many as you want... There they have definitely been raped...," she replied.
