 Albania currently ranks 90th globally in terms of military strength, according to the assessments of the "Global Firepower" institute, which evaluates military capabilities, troop numbers, finances, artillery technology, and logistical abilities.

According to the index data, Albania possesses a total of 19 aircraft, none of which are utilized for training, military missions, or attacks.

Within the region, Albania ranks second only to Serbia, surpassing all other countries in the Western Balkans.

However, the inauguration of the base in Kuçovë and the renowned "Bayraktar" drones, known for their efficiency and advanced technology, signal a positive development in Albania's defense sector. These investments are expected to further enhance Albania's position in the global rankings.

According to the index, Albania ranks 113th out of 145 countries in terms of defense budget. The defense budget for this year amounts to $500 million, marking a significant increase compared to previous years.
