Albania's esports scene received a significant boost as Dejvi Shkëmbi secured the opportunity to represent the nation in the qualifying campaign for the UEFA eEuro 2024 Championship, organized in collaboration with "EA Sports."
With registrations open until January 13, 2024, over 180 individuals applied for the chance, with Dejvi Shkëmbi emerging as Albania's chosen representative.
Expressing his happiness and pride, Shkëmbi shared his excitement at the prospect of representing Albania in the eEuro 2024 Championship.
The esports tournament will feature 51 National teams, with UEFA already determining the groupings. In total, there are seven groups, with Albania positioned in Group C alongside Italy, Poland, Malta, Latvia, Slovenia, and Luxembourg.
As Albania's representative, Dejvi Shkëmbi will contest a total of six matches during the qualifying phase, with securing the top spot being the sole pathway to advancing to the finals.
Only eight teams will progress to the final stage, where they will compete for the prizes provided by UEFA for this tournament.
The group stage matches will be played online on March 16 and 17, with the final stage of the UEFA eEuro 2024 Esports Championship set to take place in the following months.
