After Kuçova: A Stalwart Garrison in the Making
The Ministry of Defense has initiated a tender worth over 178 million lekë to kickstart construction work in the training garrison, Pajet-Bizë. According to official documents, the mountainous base near the capital is slated to accommodate 1,500 military personnel and 100 various combat vehicles.
Farkë's Air Base Renewal
A few kilometers away in Farkë, the air base is scheduled for renovation. The Military Geographic Institute has launched a tender valued at over 12 million lekë for the Helicopter Regiment. Interested companies are tasked with designing infrastructure to accommodate Boeing Chinook helicopters weighing 2.5 tons.
Additionally, connecting roads, hangar squares for aircraft descent and ascent, and lighting systems will be constructed in Farkë to enhance the overall capabilities of the base.
NATO Standards and the Repart 1001
In a bid to align with NATO standards, nearly 5 million lekë have been allocated for the design of a three-story building to house the Command and Staff of the Ground Force in Repart 1001.
Pashalimanit Military Unit: A Multifunctional Hub
Another tender has been opened for the renovation of the military unit in Pashalimanit. The two-year project envisions the construction of a versatile three-story building covering an area of 400 square meters. This building will serve as a diving and training center, as well as an ammunition depot.
