Albania has recently confirmed the scheduling of an anonymous match that was undisclosed until a few days ago, as part of their preparatory fixtures ahead of the commencement of Euro 2024 in Germany. The match in question will be against Azerbaijan, state media reports.
The Albanian national team, known as the "Kuqezinjtë" (The Red and Blacks), is set to engage in two significant and open-to-the-public friendly matches in the month of March. These matches will be held in stadiums with large capacities, starting on March 22nd in Parma, Italy, where they will face Chile, followed by a match in Solna, Sweden, against the hosts on March 25th.
Following the two friendly matches in March, the Albanian team will immediately begin their training camp for final tests before traveling to Germany. As of now, the safest option for the training camp seems to be a stay at a complex in Austria. The players and staff will commence the gathering at the end of May, on the 29th, and will stay until June 8th, when they are scheduled to depart for Germany, to the base they have in Kaizerau.
During this approximately 10-day training camp, the national team will engage in two controlled matches against selected opponents, albeit at a slightly lower level of competition. It has been learned from Top Channel that Albania will play against Liechtenstein on June 3rd and on June 7th, the day before their departure for Euro 2024, they will play against Azerbaijan.
These preparatory fixtures are vital for the Albanian team as they gear up for the highly anticipated Euro 2024 tournament. The matches against diverse opponents will provide valuable practice and allow the team to fine-tune their strategies and tactics before heading into the prestigious European championship. With each match serving as a stepping stone towards their ultimate goal, the Kuqezinjtë are leaving no stone unturned in their quest for success on the international stage.
