A decontamination tent was set up in the square, along with detectors capable of identifying the type of agent present in the scene of the attack. Emergency physicians, dressed in appropriate uniforms, were on hand to provide first aid to citizens. The demonstration aimed to showcase how to respond in the event of a chemical attack or accident, as well as the actions required to assist the population when facing such a scenario.
The demonstration, illustrating the proper protocols and procedures to be followed in case of a CBRN attack, garnered significant interest from numerous spectators. This demonstration marks the first of its kind in Albania, reflecting the country's proactive approach to enhancing its emergency response capabilities.
In the face of evolving security challenges, including the potential threat of CBRN incidents, preparedness and effective response mechanisms are paramount. By equipping emergency personnel with the necessary skills and resources, Albania is taking proactive steps to safeguard its citizens and strengthen its resilience against various threats. Such initiatives underscore the importance of collaboration and investment in emergency preparedness at both national and international levels.
