Today, the Albanian national futsal team played their first friendly match against Romania at the "Concordia Sports Hall," Bucharest. The match ended with Romania clinching victory with a scoreline of 3-1. Albania's sole goal in this encounter was scored by Halim Selmanaj.

Coach Erind Resuli fielded the following starting lineup: Cristiano Cardosa (GK), Roald Halimi (C), Arbër Shkodra, Darrier Soares Melo, and Halim Selmanaj.
The first half of the match was fiercely contested by both teams. After some promising moments, the Romanians found the back of the net first. However, towards the end of the first half, the Albanians leveled the game with a goal from Halim Selmanaj. This was enough for the first half to end in a 1-1 draw.
In the second half, Coach Erind Resuli made several substitutions to give all players a chance. On the other hand, Romania managed to score two more goals to seal the final score at 3-1.
Romania and Albania will play their second friendly match tomorrow at the "Concordia Sports Hall," with the kickoff scheduled for 17:00.
Friendly matches are crucial as Coach Erind Resuli and the technical staff closely observe the gathered players. At the end of May, Albania will also get to know their opponents for the European Futsal Championship qualifiers, with the qualifying duels set to begin in December.
