Albanian Police Rescues Two German Tourists Stranded at "Syri i Ciklopit"

After several hours of search and rescue operation, the Albanian Police has successfully aided two German tourists who were stranded at a location known as "Syri i Ciklopit" due to difficult mountainous terrain and darkness.


The search and rescue operation, carried out from yesterday evening until past midnight, was conducted by the services of Police Commissariat No. 1 and the alpine group of the National Security Force, in collaboration with the Albanian Mountaineering Federation.

Yesterday evening, following the notification that two German tourists were stranded at the site called "Syri i Ciklopit" due to difficult mountainous terrain and a lack of orientation in darkness, immediate efforts were organized to locate them.

The services of Police Commissariat No. 1 and the alpine group of the National Security Force, in collaboration with the Albanian Mountaineering Federation, after nearly 5 hours of search until past midnight, successfully located and rescued the two German tourists, aged 28 and 31, who are in good health.
