Growing Interest in Equestrian Competitions at Turan's Horse House in Albania

 For the third consecutive year, Turan's Horse House in Korça is hosting national obstacle races for horses. Over these three years, the races have demonstrated a significant increase in interest from participants of 
all ages.

Hilmi Myrtollari, the riding inspector at the Horse House, indicates that over these past three years, there has been a notable rise in interest, not only in horseback riding itself but more importantly, local and foreign tourists seek to experience horseback riding along the famous "Egnatia" route, known as the caravan road.

Qaimil Gjonbibaj, the chief judge of these competitions, believes that there is a need to work on creating a bond between the rider and the horse, especially if we aim to compete in international equestrian events.

This year's competitions saw the participation of over 30 riders of various ages from both Korça and the capital city.

The increasing interest in equestrian sports in Turan's Horse House is a testament to the growing appreciation for this traditional and exhilarating activity.
