Rama reiterated Albania's full support for the efforts of its partners towards de-escalation. Furthermore, he urged for self-restraint from all parties involved and stressed the critical need for a ceasefire in Gaza, ensuring the safe return of all civilians to their homes.

Similarly, President of the Republic of Albania, Bajram Begaj, strongly denounced Iran's attack on Israel with hundreds of drones and rockets, expressing hope for the avoidance of further escalation.

"Albania strongly condemns Iran's unprecedented attack on Israel and expresses hope that there will be no further escalation," stated the head of state in a publication on X, formerly Twitter. He added that any further escalation could jeopardize peace and security in the Middle East and have irreversible effects on a broader scale.

Earlier, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Igli Hasani, forcefully denounced Iran's aggression against Israel, which targeted the Hebrew state with hundreds of drones and rockets during the night between April 13 and 14.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, Hasani wrote that this escalation poses a serious threat to the security of Israel and the entire region. It risks bringing instability and greater destruction throughout the Middle East, explained the Albanian diplomat.

Furthermore, he advised Albanians in the region to follow the instructions of local authorities for public safety updates and to contact our embassies for assistance.

Amidst these condemnations, it's noteworthy to highlight the robust relations between Albania and Israel. Over the years, the two countries have fostered diplomatic ties and cooperation in various fields, including defense, technology, and culture.

Albania's swift and unequivocal condemnation of Iran's aggression underscores the strength of its relationship with Israel and its commitment to regional stability and peace. As the international community navigates through these turbulent times, Albania stands firm in its support for de-escalation efforts and the safety and security of all nations in the region.
