This regional meeting, held under the slogan "One region, common vision," follows previous meetings at this level among leaders in Tirana and Skopje, where extensive discussions were held regarding the Plan aimed at the economic growth of the region, accelerating necessary reforms, and undertaking investments that could advance the EU enlargement process with the Western Balkans.
The summit is conceptualized in two panels: "Engagement and future plans" and "Contribution to strengthening regional cooperation," with the participation of regional leaders, as well as the EU Commissioner for Enlargement and Neighborhood, Oliver Varhelyi, and the Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, James O'Brien. Also present at the summit are leaders and representatives of partner organizations such as the Regional Cooperation Council, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the European Investment Bank, the World Bank, senior representatives of the European Commission, and others.
