Following the Regional Summit of the Western Balkans with the EU in Montenegro, Prime Minister Edi Rama responded to the interest of the Albanian media regarding the statements of Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin, who said that Greater Albania could only be achieved with Serbian votes, but also with the help of Greece.

"A wise man once said that after the age of 40, every person is responsible for the face they have, and if you look at the face of the person you're referring to, I think it doesn't deserve any further comment on his statements," replied Rama.
A few days earlier, Vulin expressed that "Greater Albania can only be stopped by Serbs and the Serbian world," in an aggressive reaction against Prime Minister Edi Rama's meeting with Albanian immigrants in Greece.
The Albanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also reacted, summoning the Serbian ambassador to Tirana, seeking clarification on the recent statements of Serbian Deputy Prime Minister Aleksandar Vulin.
The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister declared that Greece's recognition of Kosovo and Pristina's acceptance into the Council of Europe would contribute to the creation of Greater Albania.
"The recognition of the so-called Kosovo by the Greek authorities and the acceptance of Pristina into the Council of Europe would be an unprecedented contribution of the Greek Government and Dora Bakoyannis to the creation of Greater Albania. Albania can only be stopped by Serbs and the Serbian world, but also by you dear Greeks, our Greeks. Please think about this."
This is not the first time that Vulin has mentioned the term "Greater Albania" to blackmail or threaten another state. The Serbian Deputy Prime Minister, before taking office, addressed Montenegro with highly offensive words due to its support for the resolution on genocide in Srebrenica presented at the UN.
"The future of former Serbs is Greater Albania. Or to put it in the colloquial language of Montenegro: 'Great men became cowards and traitors'," Vulin said a few days ago.
