Archaeologists who examined the findings stated that the cups are coated with red gold, adding a layer of mystery and historical significance to the discovery. After these valuable objects were handed over to the Regional Monuments Office in Trnava, specialists used metal detectors to search for other items at the same location but found nothing else.

The cups are densely covered with small forged rings, creating a shimmering effect, showcasing a high level of craftsmanship in metalworking. This discovery is particularly unique and mysterious due to its origin.

Upon detailed inspection, archaeologists discovered an inscription inside one of the cups that reads "Albania," along with initials and a number. This finding suggests that these cups were used in church liturgy and confirms their Balkan origin through the distinctive craftsmanship and motifs on the cups. But how did these church vessels from Albania end up in the forest of Hubina, in distant Slovakia? It is possible that these vessels, along with many other valuable treasures, fell into the wrong hands of traffickers, reports 'kohajone'.

Slovak archaeologists believe they will uncover more about the origins of these objects and are calling on local residents to turn in any similar objects they may have found.
