The camping.info portal, one of Europe's primary sources of information for camping vacations, has evaluated prices at over 20,000 European campsites across 34 countries.

The price range for a night of camping varies from 13 to 39 euros for two people during the peak season, including accommodation, caravan, electricity, and local taxes.

Compared to last year, camping prices in Europe have increased by 4.45%, with German campers expecting a price hike of 6.5%.

"Camping is currently very trendy, and the industry is booming. If you want to secure your tent pitch with the best price-performance ratio, you need to book well in advance. Otherwise, if you remember at the last moment, you may encounter higher prices or even fully booked sites," explains Maximilian Möhrle, CEO of camping.info.

While camping in Switzerland topped the price rankings last year, Italy (39.24 €) will be the most expensive camping destination in 2024.

Furthermore, campers in Croatia (38.77 €), Switzerland (38.66 €), and Austria (€ 36.35) will need to dig relatively deeper into their pockets for their camping vacations. In Germany, the average camping price is 27.52 euros per night.

Campers will pay more than 17 euros for a night's stay at a campsite in North Macedonia (16.78 €), Turkey (14.59 €), and Albania (13.52 €). According to the camping platform, the best campground in Albania is the "Unnamed Camp," located in Karpen. / E. Zito
