A German tourist has suffered serious injuries after falling from a waterfall in the Çarçova area of Permet, including severe head and body injuries.

Initially transported to the Regional Hospital of Gjirokastër, the tourist's condition was deemed life-threatening, prompting further transportation by helicopter to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.
The German tourist, identified by the initials G.U., was part of a group of German tourists visiting the scenic Çarçova area when the incident occurred. While taking photographs, she lost her balance and fell into the waterfall.
"In the village of Çarshovë, at a location known as 'Ura e Stermbecit,' a group of German tourists were exploring the tourist areas on foot, accompanied by Albanian citizen M.B., 40 years old, a resident of Tirana.
German citizen S.M., 47 years old, while taking photographs, lost her balance, fell, and sustained physical injuries as a result.
Immediate first aid was administered to the 47-year-old by the emergency team from the Permet Hospital and the Police services.
The incident serves as a reminder of the importance of caution and awareness while exploring natural landscapes, especially in rugged terrain such as waterfalls. Authorities urge tourists to adhere to safety guidelines and exercise vigilance to prevent accidents and injuries during their travels.
