Former Albanian national team captain, Lorik Cana, has voiced his opposition to the initiative for Albania and Serbia to jointly host the 2027 UEFA Under-21 Championship. Speaking exclusively to Tring Sport, Cana, a prominent figure and long-time captain of the Albanian national team, expressed his concerns regarding the proposal, which has sparked significant debate among the public.

Cana believes that the current timing is not appropriate for such a joint endeavor, emphasizing the need for improved relations between the two nations before considering co-hosting an event of this magnitude.
"It seems rushed to me. Without going through certain normalization processes, it is very difficult to have joint organizations despite the good intentions of the Federation. At the moment, it does not seem like the right step," Lorik Cana told Tring Sport.
Cana's comments reflect a broader sentiment among those who feel that more work is needed to normalize relations between Albania and Serbia before undertaking such collaborative efforts in sports and other fields.
