Arturo Verzeroli, President of the Albanian Cynological Federation, highlighted the significance of this event. "This is the first time we are holding this competition in Pogradec. More than 300 dogs from all over Europe are participating. It is a beauty competition for animals, held in the most developed countries, aimed at telling the Albanian people to take better care of their dogs and not to abuse them," Verzeroli explained.
The participants, professional dog caretakers from various countries, shared their deep affection for their canine companions. "I have been participating in these competitions for about two years, but I have been connected with dogs for around 20 years. I love them very much. They are my family. We are like friends. They are a part of me," expressed one caretaker.
Another participant from Italy, who works with dogs from Brazil, shared her long-standing connection with dogs. "I have been connected with dogs since I was born. I work for my clients, but I love this job. It is profitable, especially when you love dogs," she said.
A professional dog caretaker showcased several dogs, highlighting her favorite from China, a champion of many competitions. "I think I have the most beautiful dog here," she proudly stated.
The beauty parade for dogs will span two days, with winners being awarded respective prizes. This event not only showcases the beauty of these animals but also emphasizes the importance of proper care and affection for them.
