Police Officer from Fier Station Arrested in Drug Trafficking Crackdown

 Another police officer in Albania has been implicated in drug distribution and has been caught by the Agency of Police Supervision (AMP). Last night, AMP agents arrested Lorenc Gropa, who served as a General Patrol Service Officer at the "Fier I" Police Station.

Lorenc Gropa is accused of being part of a criminal group that focused on the production and sale of narcotics. This illegal activity was conducted in the premises of a bar-café in Patos. As part of this operation, three other individuals were arrested alongside Gropa, while two other citizens were processed at liberty.


During a search of the police officer's residence, authorities seized a significant quantity of narcotics and equipment used for their trafficking. Specifically, they found and confiscated a bag containing approximately 41.25 grams of cocaine, two cigarettes with hashish, two scales for weighing narcotics, a TT firearm, a carbine-type firearm, and 11 mobile phones.
