In the continuation of the national anti-cannabis operation codenamed "Clean Territory," Shkodër police have discovered and destroyed thousands of cannabis plants in various areas of the county. In a statement to the media, the police announced that 30 control groups, comprising a total of 170 police officers, and six high-quality drones were deployed to monitor the territory.

During this phase of the mega operation, 10,536 cannabis plants and 728 seedlings were found and destroyed in Shkodër and Malësi e Madhe. Specifically, 6,600 cannabis plants were found and destroyed in Dukagjin, Shalë, and Postribë. In the administrative unit of Kelmend, Malësi e Madhe, 3,528 cannabis plants and 728 cubes with cannabis seedlings (yet to be planted) were found and destroyed. Additionally, 408 cannabis plants were found and destroyed in Vau i Dejës.
Investigative teams, during the inspection of the sites, found material evidence and traces that are expected to lead to the identification of the cultivators and financiers of this criminal activity. The investigative structures of the Shkodër Local Police Directorate and its subordinate police stations, in collaboration with the Shkodër Prosecutor's Office, are continuing their work to identify, apprehend, and bring the perpetrators of this criminal activity to justice.
In their statement, the police emphasized that the mega operation "Clean Territory" will continue, expressing their commitment to combatting the cultivation and trafficking of narcotic substances in the country.
