In an effort to bolster annual tourism and stimulate economic growth, the Albanian government is pledging relief packages for businesses operating primarily in the northern and southern mountainous regions. Prime Minister Rama announced that financial support in the form of loans will be provided by banks to establish mountain lodges, with the state providing the most significant assistance.

"We're heading towards finalizing a program called 'Mountain Package' or 'Mountain Brochure,' I don't know what we'll call it. We're providing support for the network of mountain lodges. We're in talks and finalizing details with banks so that they facilitate loans where the state bears the main burden. Let's do something good, as we have to return every two days the migrants who need to come back," stated Rama.
During a podcast with lodge entrepreneurs, the Prime Minister also addressed the issue of land legalization, a longstanding problem for residents of these mountainous areas.
"In this part of the paperwork, in many areas where the division of 7501 hasn't been completed, we'll completely facilitate it," added Rama.
To further encourage economic development in Albania, particularly in the tourism sector, the government has promised relief packages for returning emigrants looking to invest in the country.
This initiative signals the government's commitment to fostering economic growth in rural areas and promoting tourism beyond the country's urban centers. By providing financial support and addressing bureaucratic hurdles, Albania aims to attract investment, create job opportunities, and enhance the overall quality of life in its mountainous regions.
