This Thursday, the Center for Arbëresh Studies and Publications (QSPA) is hosting a highly anticipated event: the recital concert "Beyond the Sea" by renowned Arbëresh singer-songwriter Santino de Bartolo. The concert will take place on June 6th at 19:00, at the Amphitheater of the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana.
Promoting Arbëresh Language and Culture
This recital is part of a series of cultural activities organized by QSPA, aimed at promoting the Arbëresh language and culture in the motherland. The event underscores the ongoing efforts to celebrate and preserve the rich heritage of the Arbëresh community.
Santino de Bartolo's Tribute to Domeniko Bellizi and Dritëro Agolli
Santino de Bartolo will perform some of his best songs, which are primarily based on the texts written by poet Domeniko Bellizi, also known as Vorea Ujko. Bellizi was one of the first to recognize the vocal and artistic talents of the distinguished singer and composer Santino de Bartolo.
This concert serves as a tribute not only to Vorea Ujko but also to poet Dritëro Agolli. Their friendship played a significant role in bridging the Arbëresh community with their ancestral homeland.
