The MP's action uncovered a scheme to facilitate border crossings for individuals who had overstayed their permitted time in the Schengen area or were banned from traveling. This investigation spanned from March 2023 to March 2024, implicating a complex network of corruption, local media reports.

Key Players and Mechanism:

Enea Sulejmani, owner of the travel agency “Bus Albania,” specialized in ticket sales among other activities. Sulejmani maintained continuous contact with Briken Tereziu, an inspector at the Rinas Border Police, sending him travel documents of individuals barred from entering EU countries.
