 A French tourist who had gone missing since 10 AM this Thursday has been found safe in the village of Iljas. The Himara fire service, along with alpine rescuers, conducted an extensive search in the Cika Mountains and successfully located her.

Images released by the police show the French tourist with injuries to her limbs, indicating she had suffered some physical trauma during the ordeal.


Albania's Interior Minister, Taulant Balla, shared the news on his social media profile, stating: "Good news: the French tourist who had lost contact for several days in the Cika Mountains is safe and is returning with the rescue service and the mountaineers who were involved in finding her.
