A French tourist was injured today in the Vrana area of Lekbibaj, Tropoja. Due to the severity of her injuries, she was airlifted to Tirana for urgent medical treatment.

The Albanian Mountain Rescue Service reported that they received an emergency call about a woman in her 50s who had suffered an accident in Vrana. After locating the tourist and providing initial aid, it was determined that her injuries required immediate air transport to Tirana.

The Albanian Mountain Rescue Service received a call for assistance around 12:30 PM today, reporting that a French tourist in her 50s had an accident in Vrana, Lekbibaj. A rescue team was quickly organized in coordination with the National Emergency Medical Center (QKUM). The team located the tourist, administered first aid, and due to the severity of her injuries, arranged for her immediate helicopter transport to Tirana.
"We extend our thanks to all participants in this rescue operation and wish the tourist a speedy recovery. We urge everyone to travel safely by following all safety protocols and using necessary equipment. We also recommend always being accompanied by a local tour guide," the police statement concluded.
