The Special Prosecution of Kosovo, in cooperation with the Kosovo Intelligence Agency and the Kosovo Police in the Mitrovica region, has arrested a person accused of espionage.
"The arrested individual, A.V., is suspected of committing the criminal offense of 'Espionage,' under Article 124 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo (CCRK).
The same individual has been detained for 48 hours by the order of the State Prosecutor from the Special Prosecution, and the Kosovo Police have conducted a search at the suspect's residence," the announcement states.
It is learned that the arrested individual is a Kosovar citizen of Serbian nationality, Aleksandar Vlajic, who was detained at the Jarinje border crossing point.
Three weeks ago, the police had also arrested two other individuals in Ferizaj for espionage, who are currently in pre-trial detention.
