Cagliari has officially announced the arrival of Alen Sherrit. The goalkeeper from Shkodër has signed a three-year contract with the Serie A team, making a significant leap in his career. After a season in which he won the championship and the Albanian Cup with Egnatia, Sherri begins a new adventure in the Italian league.
Egnatia has sold the goalkeeper to Cagliari for 350 thousand euros, and Sherri will defend the goal of the Sardinian team until the summer of 2027.
"Imposing physique, 197 centimeters tall, Sherri is skilled between the posts, courageous in the air, and also good with his feet," reads the post from Cagliari, welcoming the 26-year-old.
Sherri will compete for a starting position with Scuffet and Radunovic in the Cagliari team, which believed in the qualities of the Albanian goalkeeper, who now wants to make his mark beyond the Adriatic. Sherri leaves after 195 matches in the Albanian championship, in addition to having played 26 matches in the Albanian Cup and 13 international matches with Laçi and Egnatia.
After playing with the U21 National Team, the Shkodër goalkeeper made his debut with the senior national team on November 9, 2022.
