Two suspects have been identified and arrested for violently stealing mobile phones from a tourist.

Officers from Police Station No. 3, continuing their efforts to maintain order and safety during the tourist season and combat all forms of illegal activities, launched a police operation called "Response" following a complaint from a tourist who reported that two unidentified individuals had forcibly stolen two mobile phones from him.

As a result, citizens L. A., 22 years old, and Xh. M. (L.), 31 years old, both residents of Tirana, were identified and arrested for the criminal offense of "Robbery with violence" committed in collaboration, as provided by Article 139/25 of the Penal Code.

The two arrested individuals are suspected of stealing two mobile phones from 43-year-old D. C. in Skanderbeg Square.

In the following, we present to you the experience of one of the victims, who recounted a little of this not-so-good experience:

"Hello everyone, I just wanted to give a big shout-out to the police department here in Tirana, Albania. I flew into town two days ago, and unfortunately, I had some of my belongings stolen. The situation quickly escalated, but I have to say, the professionalism of the police here in Albania was incredible. Not only did they recover my phones, but they also apprehended the suspects who attacked me. I’m really grateful for the hard work and dedication of the Tirana police—they’re truly amazing and loyal. I can’t wait to come back."
