A new Albanian school has officially opened its doors in London, marking a significant step in the promotion of the Albanian language and culture in the United Kingdom. Present at the opening ceremony was Taulant Balla, Albania's Minister of State for Relations with the Parliament and the Political Leader for the Diaspora within the Socialist Party.

In his address, Balla emphasized the Albanian government's goal of expanding the network of Albanian schools and language classes across the diaspora. According to him, more than 7,000 students are currently learning Albanian in various cities across the UK, and this effort is a crucial step toward preserving and spreading Albanian language and culture for future generations.
"I’ve been informed that several thousand textbooks, approximately 5,000, have already arrived in the UK, with the majority distributed in London," said Balla. "However, I must admit that not all of them have yet been collected. I want to assure you today that we will soon have the 'Teacher for UK' program, an initiative of the Albanian government. In collaboration with the Kosovo government, we will integrate our joint program to support this effort."
Balla highlighted that the supply of Albanian textbooks and the new "Teacher for the Diaspora" program will help expand the number of schools and classes where the beautiful Albanian language is taught, ensuring that younger generations of the diaspora remain connected to their heritage.
This initiative not only strengthens the bonds within the Albanian community in the UK but also aligns with broader efforts to preserve the Albanian identity among diaspora communities worldwide.
