The project is led by Kristaq Ziu, President of the Patriotic Association for Unity and Union. Ziu emphasizes the importance of uniting Albanians beyond festive occasions, stating that the flag will represent solidarity among Albanians from all regions. "Our vision is a united Albania, and Albanians should stand together, not just on Flag Day or for a stadium event. Each year, this flag will symbolize a unity stretching from Çamëria to Ilirida, from the Albanians of Montenegro to the Presheva Valley," he expressed passionately.
The flag’s creation is spearheaded by Artur Latja, a well-respected tailor in Fier known for his dedication and patriotism. “A considerable amount of material has gone into this. We purchased around 15 rolls of satin fabric,” Ziu explained. “The main work was done by Tur Latja, a dedicated and patriotic tailor who has put heart and soul into this project.”
In addition to this massive 800-square-meter flag, 5,000 more flags will be displayed during the Independence celebrations, creating a festive and symbolic atmosphere for Albanians. This remarkable display will undoubtedly stand as a proud testament to Albania’s spirit of unity and patriotism, honoring the independence and heritage of the nation.
